The stock intake system on your Subaru is intended to reduce intake noise, and intake flow is compromised as a result. An aftermarket intake system can greatly increase the engine's capacity to ingest air, resulting in improved horsepower!
We prefer intake systems with cold-air ducting functions, to ensure a steady supply of fresh and cool intake air rather than hot under-hood air. Cold air intake systems cost a bit more, but we feel they are worth the additional cost.
Note that ANY aftermarket intake on a late-model Subaru MUST be paired with a matching ECU map to properly meter the incoming air. Running an intake system WITHOUT a corresponding ECU map may damage your car. You have been warned!
