Most factory Subaru hoods are made of heavy steel*. A carbon fiber hood will reduce weight by as much as 25 pounds, plus they are available with extra cooling vents for style and/or function. All our Seibon carbon fiber hoods bolt up to factory hinges and latches.
*The exception is the 2002-2007 WRX and STI hoods, which were of light aluminum alloy.
